At Soggy Doggy, we practice Balanced Dog Training. Balanced Dog Training is a method that uses a combination of positive reinforcement and aversive training to teach dogs that their actions have consequences. The goal is to teach dogs desired behaviors, and corrections are used to change the dog's behavior, not to punish it.
Balanced trainers consider the dog's individual needs, experiences, and training goals when choosing tools and approaches. They avoid using punishments, creating learned helplessness, or making assumptions about the dog's state of mind. They also only correct a dog when they are certain the dog understands what is being asked.
Can you accommodate special requests or health conditions?
We adjust our techniques to accommodate dogs with specific health conditions, such as arthritis, to ensure their comfort during grooming sessions. Building a relationship with your dog through regular grooming allows our compassionate groomers to quickly notice any unusual health concerns, providing an additional layer of care and attention
